An Easy & Delicious Artisan Bread Recipe

There's something magical about the aroma of freshly baked bread filling your home — and it doesn’t have to be complicated! With just four simple ingredients, you can make a delicious, golden, artisan-style loaf that’s perfect for everything from dipping in olive oil to serving alongside your favorite meal. No fancy equipment, no kneading, and no need for a bread maker. Just a little time, patience, and a few pantry staples, and you’re ready to enjoy homemade bread like never before.


Ingredients:

  • 3 C, All Purpose Flour

  • 1.5 tsp, Salt

  • 1/2 tsp, Yeast

  • 1.5 C, Warm Water


Instructions:

  1. In a medium-large bowl combine all the ingredients (flour, salt, yeast, and warm water). The consistency of the dough should be dry and shaggy. If the dough is too sticky, add small amounts of flour a little at a time until you reach the right consistency.

  2. Cover the dough with plastic wrap (or beeswax wrap) and let it rest at room temperature between 8 and 24 hours.

  3. After waiting 8 to 24 hours, remove the dough, place it on a well-floured surface, form it into a ball, and place it onto a parchment paper.

  4. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, place a baking dish with high sides in the oven and preheat to 450 F.

  5. After the 30 minutes is done, slash an "x" on the top of the dough and carefully place it into the baking dish (still resting on the parchment paper).

  6. Bake covered for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, uncover and bake for another 15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  7. Let the loaf cool before slicing.
